ART-ventures: Lions and Tigers and Pigs, Oh My! 


Art Ventures


Animals have been an important subject for artists all over the world since the beginning of time. From ancient caves to the present day magnificent creatures can be seen in paintings, sculptures, ceramics, mosaic art, fabric design, masks and stained glass. On a wild journey through the animal kingdom, art adventurers discover a multitude of critters--as well as their own creativity--while exploring various techniques, tools, textures and materials. Stained glass giraffes, fabric dogs, ceramic elephants, wooden snakes, colorful dinosaurs, and clay lions with fluffy fiber manes. These are just a few of the animals created during our cool and playful art excursions. Fun facts about each creature are included and masterpieces go home each week. A ROARING good time!

Rules, Behavior, and Discipline Policy
Participants will be responsible for following ALL program rules as listed below:
*Participants must be respectful to other participants, staff, and facilities and equipment at all times.
*Participants must remain in designated program areas at all times unless escorted by an instructor.
*Participants must stay with their instructor at all times.
*Participants must use appropriate language with other participants and staff at all times.
*Participants are only permitted to leave the program when they are signed out by a parent/guardian or other
authorized person.

All children are expected to behave in a proper and respectful manner. We will not tolerate any physical violence, name calling, foul language, destruction of property, or any other behavior deemed inappropriate by the staff. In accordance with the severity and frequency of the behavior, a behavior tracking form may be completed and kept on file. Parents will be notified and receive a copy of any such form. If warranted, the Recreation Department reserves the right to dismiss or suspend any child from the program. No refunds will be given.
