This is the first ever youth volleyball league that will be hosted through the Simsbury Culture, Parks and Recreation department. This league will be supervised by Brian Leblanc (SHS volleyball coach and Physical Education teacher). This league is for boys and girls entering 4th-9th grade in Fall 2021. The league will consist of two divisions, the Juniors division and the Seniors division.

Juniors League will be boys and girls in grades 4th-6th grade. They will be placed with a coach to work on skills and drills for the first hour each week and then play in modified games for the second hour. Each week participants will be assigned to a new team and compete in a round robin type tournament to determine a "Juniors League Champion"

Seniors League will be for girls and boys in grades 7th-9th. Each player will be assigned a new team each week. They will have a 1 hour practice with their coach followed up by a round robin type tournament to determine a "Seniors League Champ".

The final week will consist of the first ever SSVL Cup Championship with multiple prizes and more!

Coaches will consist of trained/certified SHS volleyball coaches along with current and former SHS players.

Players will be given a T-Shirt the first week of camp and are asked to wear their "Team Shirt" each week. Players should come prepared with water, knee pads (not mandatory but suggested), athletic footwear, and a back up mask or face covering.

Summer 2021 Mask Requirements
Mask Wearing
An appropriate mask is one that completely covers the nose and mouth, is worn directly on the face
(i.e., not attached to a helmet or other equipment), and fits closely without significant gaps or
openings.
1) In accordance with Governor Ned Lamont’s current Executive Order regarding mask use for the
prevention of COVID-19, masks must be used during indoor athletic activities by all
participants who are not fully vaccinated (i.e., any coaches, athletes, officials, spectators, etc.
who are not at least 14 days past their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or their first
dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine) at all times. Of note, organizers of any athletic activity
involving children younger than 12 years old should plan for continuous mask wearing by all
participants during any indoor athletic activity, as there is currently no COVID-19 vaccine
approved for these children.

* Adjustments and discounts will be applied during checkout if applicable. *
