Yoga mat and weights lay by a window
This yoga class will focus on detoxing body & mind through breathwork, vinyasa flow & yin yoga.  The practice will begin with breathing techniques & mindfulness; then move through sun salutations to create warmth, mobility & strength focused more on outer layers-muscles. After fluid movement, longer held yin poses will allow us to go deeper to detox the body’s inner layers-joints, connective tissues & organs.  We will end with a calming & soothing savasana-full relaxation.  Allow these sessions to remove physical, emotional & mental obstacles, more fully open up the channels within the body, and support health & vitality.  Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, blocks (if you have them) & water.

Drop-ins will not be accepted for this program.

About our instructor, Julie Erasmus
I began practicing and studying yoga over 20 years ago in Santa Fe, NM. My journey has been influenced by a desire to find balance through awareness, honoring both the light and dark aspects of life, the seen and unseen energies. I am a Certified Yoga Instructor with training in a variety of yogic traditions including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Yin and SATYA. I have deeply appreciated the teaching influences of Seane Corn (Vinyasa Flow, Detox Yoga & the Chakras), Sarah Powers (Yin & Yang Yoga) & Beryl Bender Birch (Power Yoga & Mindfulness-as we age) and most recently Tias Little (Subtle Body & Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga). I find inspiration and refuge when I am outside in nature, whether hiking, biking, walking, sitting or stargazing. One of the gifts of yoga is that it invites me inside, to connect with my internal landscape for compassion, guidance & illumination. My classes integrate vinyasa flow with posture alignment & core support.
