Becoming an Independent Contractor
In this age of “The Great Resignation,” many people want the freedom that comes with working for themselves, being their own boss, making their own hours and deciding which projects they want to do- essentially, take control of their lives.  
How do you get started as an Independent Contractor?  This course is designed for people currently employed considering making a change, as well as people who are not in the workforce such as recently laid off or stay at home parents and people considering retirement who would like to continue working via contract work.
 
This course will cover the pros and considerations of being an independent contractor. It will provide practical considerations such as what services to offer, how to line up projects, what to charge and provide a checklist of items to get started.

Trish Rivard has an MBA in Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Finance from the University of Chicago. She built Eliciting Insights, an Independent Contracting business, in 2015 which she still runs today. Email her at trivardct@gmail.com with any program questions.
