Cycling Classes by The League of American Bicyclists

Farmington Valley Smart Cycling, April 5-6

9 hrs. of classroom and on-bike instruction
$50 (includes class materials)


This Smart Cycling Class will teach emergency maneuvers, roadway safety skills and more. 
Students need to provide their own bikes and helmets. Helmets are required gear. Registration fee includes materials and manual. 
Smart Cycling Class is a great idea for all cyclists. It is also
 the prerequisite for the League Cycling Instructor Seminar.

League Cycling Instructor (LCI) Seminar, May 17-19
The LCI training seminar focuses on teaching and demonstration techniques used both on the road and in the classroom.
After earning certification, LCIs can teach a variety of Smart Cycling classes to children and adults. LCI's also have access to the League's individual liability insurance for LCI (approx.. $25 annually after the year of certification).
Completion of the League's full Smart Cycling class (formerly Traffic Skills 101) is a prerequisite.
The registration fee is $500 ($575 beginning April 19) and includes the seminar materials.  League membership (approx. $35 is required) is required to achieve and maintain certification. Registration closes on April 26.
