About the Instructor: Jolie Cayer
Jolie was born in the vibrant city of Kinshasa, and grew up immersed in the rich cultural tapestry of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Kinshasa, known for its pulsating music, dynamic dance scenes, and lively arts, was the perfect backdrop for Jolie’s early years. It was here that she first discovered her love for dance, moving to the rhythms of Congolese music that would become the most direct expression and extension of her soul.
In 2010, Jolie’s journey brought her to Connecticut, where she started a family. Despite the responsibilities of motherhood, she never lost sight of her passions. She continued to teach dance and fitness, now with an even greater emphasis on sharing her African culture with her community. Jolie organized cultural events, dance workshops, and fitness sessions, all aimed at promoting the beauty and richness of African traditions.
