2019 TALCOTT MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL 

 
Grass Passes and Table Subscriptions on Sale Now; Single Tickets on Sale May 6
HARTFORD, CT (April 1, 2019) – The Hartford Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to announce the programming for the 2019 Talcott Mountain Music Festival, scheduled June 28 through July 26 at Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center in Simsbury, CT. 
 
“As we look forward to the upcoming summer months, Hartford Symphony Orchestra Music Director Carolyn Kuan, Assistant Conductor Adam Boyles, and I invite you to join us for the 2019 Talcott Mountain Music Festival,” said HSO Executive Director Steve Collins. “Get ready to pack your picnic and enjoy these five fantastic nights at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center!”

Experience some of Tchaikovsky’s greatest works including musical excerpts from his enchanting ballets Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty, the thrilling Violin Concerto in D Major, and excerpts from his joyful Symphony No. 5. The Music of Elton John

With over 300 million records sold, Sir Elton John is at the very top of the rock?’n roll pantheon. His virtuosic piano work, combined with brilliant?songwriting, and a voice that never fails, has kept him front and center for almost 5 decades. The HSO is joined by vocalists and a rock band to present an evening of hits that takes us from “Your Song” to “The Circle of Life” and beyond! Conducted by Adam Boyles.

FAMILY ACTIVITY TENT
Open to all ticket holders, the HSO Family Activity Tent is open from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.; families can enjoy free activities such as music-themed art projects led by HSO teaching artists, giveaways, and HSO’s popular Instrument Discovery Lab. 
 
FRIENDS OF THE FESTIVAL
The HSO offers a tax-deductible donation program unique to the Talcott Mountain Music Festival that supports the charitable efforts of the HSO in the community and, through a $100 donation, gives special benefits at the Talcott Mountain Music Festival, including early entry onto the field and entry into a weekly raffle. Advance ticket offers with priority pricing for GRASS PASSESSM and TABLE SUBSCRIPTIONS only are available now through Friday, May 3. Through May 3, these priority pricing tickets are available by calling 860-987-5900 or by visiting The Bushnell Box Office, 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Single tickets go on sale Monday, May 6 and are available by calling or visiting the Box Office, or by visiting www.hartfordsymphony.org.
 
GRASS PASSES
Grass Passes may be used in any combination for any concerts in the 2019 Talcott Mountain Music Festival; attendees may bring Grass Passes straight to the gate for admission.
Adult Grass Pass: 10 adult lawn tickets are $250 (save $50 off gate prices)
*Priority Adult Grass Pass price: $230 if purchased by Friday, May 3*
Adult Half Grass Pass: 5 adult lawn tickets are $125 (save $25 off gate prices)
Child Grass Pass: 10 child (age 12 and under) lawn tickets for $50
Family Pack: 12 lawn tickets (6 adult and 6 child tickets) for $180 (save $50 off gate prices)
*Priority Family Pack price: $165 if purchased by Friday, May 3*

Tables for eight people are located right in front of the stage.
Single Table Seats: 5-Concert Subscription for $190 (save $35 off gate prices)

On Monday, May 6, 2019, advance ticket prices will increase to $250 for Adult Grass Pass and $180 for Family Pack.

Adult Lawn: $25 ($30 if purchased at the gate)
Child Lawn (12 & under): $5
Single Table Seat: $40 advance ($45 if purchased at the gate)
Full Table (8 Seats): $320 advance ($360 if purchased at the gate)
 
All prices include $3.50 per adult ticket and $1.00 per child ticket fee paid to Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center. All dates, programs and artists are subject to change. Gate prices go into effect at 5 pm on concert days.
PARKING PASSES
The HSO asks that you please car pool whenever possible. A limited number of parking passes for lots on site are available for purchase for each concert for $10 per vehicle (including handicapped-accessible parking). Parking passes must be purchased in advance by phone or in person at the box office; these are not available the night of the concert. Limited free parking is available off Iron Horse Blvd. and throughout Simsbury. Convenient and free shuttle service is also available from Henry James Memorial Middle School, beginning at 5:30pm each evening.
