Junior Lifeguard Academy is a four day program designed for youth (10-14 years old) who are interested in becoming lifeguards, but do not meet the minimum age requirements. The Academy will help to prepare participants to make a smooth transition to the Lifeguard Training course. Each program covers the same essential core material of the Lifeguard Training course, including responsibilities of a lifeguard, rescues, communication, teamwork, decision-making skills and fitness.
Prerequisites: Must be able to swim 50 yards front crawl and 25 yards breaststroke.
$70 (with a season pool pass) / $80 (without a season pool pass)
Class meets Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday; 8:15am-9:45am; at Simsbury Farms Pool
Session 1: July 28 - August 1 (no 7/30)
Session 2: August 4 - August 8 (no 8/6)
