This 6-week clinic will introduce 3rd and 4th graders to the game of field hockey. No experience is necessary- beginners to experienced players are welcome. Participants should bring their own stick, mouth guard, shin guards, eye gear (recommended, not required) and plenty of water! Please bring any reversible pinnie with a dark side and light side for scrimmaging. Sneakers or cleats are required for this program. This clinic will be run by Simsbury High School coaches, parent coaches and SHS players. Wednesday practices will be held on the grass fields and Saturday practices will be held on the turf field at SHS.
The clinic will possibly play 2 scrimmages against West Hartford- dates TBD.
Practice Dates: Wednesdays (5-6 PM) & Saturdays (9-10 AM)
9/11, 9/14, 9/28, 9/21, 9/25, 9/28, 10/2, 10/5, 10/9, 10/12, 10/16, 10/26
Please note there is no practice on Saturday, 10/19.
Wednesday, 10/23, will be reserved as a rain date if needed.
