Watercolor painting of a dinosaur reading a book
Join local art teacher Kristy Lankford as she explores a wide variety of artists and artworks while helping students create their own unique art pieces. Students will focus on a different set of materials and techniques each day of camp. They will leave at the end of the week with a wide variety of finished artworks and a lot of new art making skills. Materials covered include watercolor, clay, acrylic paint, tempera paint, paper mache, and more.

Students will make art by drawing from life, creating illustrations from their imaginations, building sculptures with clay and other materials, creating mixed media artworks in addition to exploring many other art forms. Students will also learn about a diverse list of artists.

This is a fun, hands-on camp for elementary aged kids that explores art history, artists, and artworks from around the world. The grades are based on the grade your student is going into in fall 2024.
