Food Explorers Summer Camps!
Food Explorers was created by Katie Shepherd, a registered dietitian on a mission to inspire kids to explore new foods and flavors, teach them valuable cooking skills, and create a safe space for children to have a positive experience with food.
Food Explorers empowers young chefs through cooking classes featuring uniquely designed recipes with a food neutral approach. Nurturing children's confidence in their kitchen skills while promoting a positive relationship with food.
All recipes are nut-free and vegetarian but will contain dairy, eggs, and gluten. Students will leave each class with new recipes, skills, and knowledge about the food they create.
This program is held at the Simsbury Farms Apple Barn.
The grade range for the programs is the grade your children will be going into in fall 2026. Some grades may overlap between morning and afternoon programs. Children can take both classes but need a guardian to pick them up for the lunch hour.
