Schools Off: Makerspace Day!

Jessica Santos is the Library Coordinator at The Academy of Computer Science and Engineering in East Hartford. She has worked with children in and out of school settings for over 15 years. She curated the Makerspace at Comp Sci and enjoys blending art and technology. She loves to provide a place where kids can read, play and create.

Behavior Policy
Rules, Behavior, and Discipline Policy
Participants will be responsible for following ALL program rules as listed below:
*Participants must be respectful to other participants, staff, and facilities and equipment at all times.
*Participants must remain in designated program areas at all times unless escorted by an instructor.
*Participants must stay with their instructor at all times.
*Participants must use appropriate language with other participants and staff at all times.
*Participants are only permitted to leave the program when they are signed out by a parent/guardian or other
authorized person.

All children are expected to behave in a proper and respectful manner. We will not tolerate any physical violence, name calling, foul language, destruction of property, or any other behavior deemed inappropriate by the staff. In accordance with the severity and frequency of the behavior, a behavior tracking form may be completed and kept on file. Parents will be notified and receive a copy of any such form. If warranted, the Recreation Department reserves the right to dismiss or suspend any child from the program. No refunds will be given.
