Cultivating Connection: An Adaptive Plant & Nature Series for Kids aged 7-13!
This is a fun plant and nature program for kids who are neurodiverse or have a disability. Explore what makes the autumn season so special with hands-on sensory exploration, learning, and fun projects relating to nature and plants. Participants are ensured they are able to participate to the best of their ability and interest through adaptive tools, activities and instruction. Participants learn new skills, connect with nature, and spend time with peers.
A guardian is welcome to stay and assist their participant if needed.

Seeds!
Thursday, 9/19, 5-6 PM
Explore different seeds and discover where they come from and how they move. Hands on exploration of different seeds and  seed pods will be followed by a seed ball making activity.

How Plants Grow- Pumpkins!
Thursday, 10/10, 5-6 PM
We will explore what all plants need to grow by exploring the life cycle of pumpkins from seed to pumpkin. Hands on project with a pumpkin.

Fall Leaves
Thursday, 11/14, 5-6 PM
Why do leaves change color in the fall? Explore how leaves change with the seasons, how different kinds of leaves change into different colors and make a special project using real colorful leaves.

Birds and Wildlife in our Yards
Thursday, 12/12, 5-6 PM
Birds and wildlife in our yards. Explore what birds and other critters are eating in the fall and winter and how we can help them out with what we grow in our yard. We will make bird seed ornaments to hang outside for our feathered friends.
