Come join Simsbury Varsity Field Hockey coach Taylor Reynolds and the Simsbury High School Varsity Field Hockey team for 4 day field hockey camp hosted at the Simsbury High School Turf Field. Fresh off of their historic state tournament run, Coach Reynolds will be joined by current Varsity players and coaches M-Th from 9 AM- 12 PM. We will focus on foundational field hockey skills, game play and fun. Players will practice basic skills such as dribbling, dodging, 1 v 1 defense and shooting. Players will also be able to play in game like situations and enjoy fun games to practice all skills learned. Camp is for Grades 1st-9th and all levels are encouraged to participate! It's a great way to make new friends, improve your skills, learn new ones and have fun!
Schedule:
6/22-6/25, 9 AM-12 PM
Friday, 6/26, will be reserved as a rain date.

- Field Hockey Stick (measured up to your hipbone)
- Shinguards
- Sneakers/turf shoes
- Water bottles
- Sunscreen
- Reversible Pinnie
- mouth guard
- goggles ( optional but recommended)

About the Coach: Taylor Reynolds
Taylor Reynolds joined Simsbury High School in 2024. Coach Reynolds and the SHS varsity field hockey team finished the 2024 season with a historic run in the State Tournament, reaching the Final Four for the first time since 2008. Coach Reynolds grew up and played Field Hockey in Longmeadow, Ma where she then continued to play at the college level at Mount Holyoke College and University of Edinburgh, Scotland. She coached Varsity Field Hockey in New Canaan, CT at the St. Luke's School as well as for the Fairfield County United Club team. She also served as an official in Western Massachusetts and the Fairfield county area. Afterwards, she moved to the Boston area where she was a 3rd grade teacher in Lincoln, Ma and the Varsity Field Hockey Coach at Reading Memorial High School for 7 seasons. Alongside her HS team, she also coached with the Wizards club team out of Bedford, Ma. During her tenure in Reading, the Reading Rockets claimed the Middlesex League Champion title twice. In 2023, they were ranked #1 in the state and won the Massachusetts D2 State Championship. Coach Reynolds was also named 2023 D2 Coach of the Year by the Boston Globe
