Itty Bitty Swim Time - Sensory-Friendly EnvironmentA special swim time for infants and toddlers, 4 years and younger and a parent/guardian, to experience, play and work on water acclimation in the 3-foot training pool at Simsbury Farms.This special session is held before the Simsbury Farms pool facility opens for public swimming, making it a good time for those who would benefit from a sensory-friendly environment. Some pool toys and noodles will be available and clean pool toys can be brought from home.Adult (16 years of age or older) supervision is required and must be in the water with the child.  Lifeguards will be on duty.  No siblings or children over 4 are allowed during this time.   Saturdays   June 7 - August 23     11:00-Noon         4 years old and younger    $2.00 per child or season passes are acceptedSpace is limited to 20 children per week.  Pre-registration not required, it is available on first come, first served basis

Children are working independently and cooperatively as they begin to explore simple machines using LEGO® Duplo® early childhood materials.There will be 2 or 3 motion-based projects introduced each day of the week with additional challenge activities for all building skill levels. Your child will have the opportunity to work with and bring home lab sheets showcasing what they build in order to share with family and continue the learning process outside of camp. These small group, introductory clinics are for people with no prior instruction or very little exposure to tennis. We will focus on learning the basics of the game including strokes, footwork and scoring. Our goal is to have you playing tennis within a few lessons. The lesson will include a light warmup, a “stroke of the day”, drills and some live ball play.Players should bring a water bottle, towel and hat/sunglasses/sunscreen. This 6-week clinic will introduce 3rd and 4th graders to the game of field hockey. No experience is necessary- beginners to experienced players are welcome. Participants should bring their own stick, mouth guard, shin guards, eye gear (recommended, not required) and plenty of water! Please bring any reversible pinnie with a dark side and light side for scrimmaging. Sneakers or cleats are required for this program. This clinic will be run by SHS head coach, Taylor Reynolds and high school players.There may be a few scrimmages set up with other Farmington Valley programs.Practice Dates: Saturdays, 9 AM-10 AM9/13-10/25Please note there is no practice on Saturday, 10/11.Saturday, 11/1, will be reserved as a rain date if needed.Not sure how to get measured for a field hockey stick?
