Summer Skateboarding Camp!Campers will acquire foundational skills in skateboarding, covering basics like pushing and riding, while also diving into more advanced techniques such as dropping in and ollies. Each individual will establish their own set of personal goals to pursue over the course of the week. Skateboards, helmets, and protective pads are all provided during camp. Campers are welcome to bring their own helmets and/or pads as well. Please be sure to send campers with plenty of water and a snack.Camp will run Monday-Thursday, 9 AM-12 PM. Racquets for Life is coming to Simsbury Farms! These junior clinics will include tennis instruction for 8-13 year olds. The clinic will include a light warmup, skills drills to work on the basics of the games, drills for stroke repetition and live ball play. Players will be broken into groups based on level of play.Participants should bring a tennis racquet (some loaners will be available), water bottles, a towel, sunscreen/hat/sunglasses and a snack. Demo racquets for tennis will be available. Itty Bitty Swim Time - Sensory-Friendly EnvironmentA special swim time for infants and toddlers, 4 years and younger and a parent/guardian, to experience, play and work on water acclimation in the 3-foot training pool at Simsbury Farms.This special session is held before the Simsbury Farms pool facility opens for public swimming, making it a good time for those who would benefit from a sensory-friendly environment. Some pool toys and noodles will be available and clean pool toys can be brought from home.Adult (16 years of age or older) supervision is required and must be in the water with the child.  Lifeguards will be on duty.  No siblings or children over 4 are allowed during this time.   Saturdays   June 8-August 24     11:00-Noon            4 years old and younger    $2.00 per child or season passes are acceptedSpace is limited to 20 children per week.  Pre-registration not required, it is available on first come, first served basis

Golf n' Hoops Camp at Simsbury FarmsThis camp is for boys and girls, ages 9 to 15. The 4-day camp will focus on improving camper's golf and basketball skills while having fun in a camp environment. Golf instruction will include basic fundamentals, rules, etiquette, and course play. Basketball instruction will include dribbling, shooting, and defense. Each morning, campers will meet at the Golf Pro Shop and split into 2 groups. The groups will switch activities half way through the day. Campers should pack a bagged lunch. Pizza will be provided on the last day of camp!Campers should wear sneakers and athletic wear. They should bring a bagged lunch, water, and sun protection. Basketballs and golf clubs will be provided.Friday, 8/23 will be reserved as a rain date.

This 6-week clinic will introduce 3rd and 4th graders to the game of field hockey. No experience is necessary- beginners to experienced players are welcome. Participants should bring their own stick, mouth guard, shin guards, eye gear (recommended, not required) and plenty of water! Please bring any reversible pinnie with a dark side and light side for scrimmaging. Sneakers or cleats are required for this program. This clinic will be run by Simsbury High School coaches, parent coaches and SHS players. Wednesday practices will be held on the grass fields and Saturday practices will be held on the turf field at SHS.The clinic will possibly play 2 scrimmages against West Hartford- dates TBD.Practice Dates: Wednesdays (5:30-6:30 PM) & Saturdays (9-10 AM)9/11, 9/14, 9/28, 9/21, 9/25, 9/28, 10/2, 10/5, 10/9, 10/12, 10/16, 10/26 Please note there is no practice on Saturday, 10/19.Wednesday, 10/23, will be reserved as a rain date if needed.Not sure how to get measured for a field hockey stick?
