Calling all Princesses, Pirates, Fairies, and Knights! This 30 minute class is a beginner class designed to introduce young dancers to ballet, dance technique, and creative movement in a fun and exciting way! Each week, class will be centered around fairytale themes and age appropriate props (wands, crowns, wings, and more) are used to keep young dancers excited and motivated! Filled with lots of fun, this class will instill a love for dance in any little one!  Dancers should being a water bottle and wear clothing they are comfortable moving in. April & May Session: 4/1-5/20Tuesdays, 5-5:30 PMClasses will be held at Eno Memorial Hall. Have you been to a UCONN game recently? Watched an NFL or BIG TEN game on TV? Is your child paying more attention to the pom performers and baton twirlers than the game? If so, they’ll LOVE this class! Designed for both learning and fun, our class is filled with high-energy pom dance & baton twirling that will have your child grinning ear to earParticipants will learn moves and techniques in both disciplines.Build Coordination! Boost Confidence! Have a Blast & Make New Friends! Students should wear fitted clothing that's comfortable to move in with hair pulled back from their face.Sneakers or jazz shoes should be worn. With award-winning, cutting-edge exhibits featuring over 10,000 animals representing 700 species across 265 acres, there is no other zoo in the world that offers the diversity, superb viewing, and world-renowned expertise. Whether you're nose-to-nose with Western Lowland Gorillas in their famous Congo Gorilla Forest, spotting Snow Leopards in their naturalistic Himalayan Highlands Habitat, or experiencing almost an acre of an indoor Asian rain forest, you're always within roaring distance of the world's most amazing wildlife. In the end, you'll know that your admission fees went to a conservation organization that has more expert researchers in the field than any other. Our deluxe motorcoach will leave the Simsbury Farms Parking Lots at 7:30AM and leave the Bronx Zoo at 4:30PM. Join us for an outdoor parent and child barre class!Barre is a fun, low impact, muscle toning workout! Similar to pilates and yoga, Barre is a fast paced, full body exercise. All levels of experience are welcome.  This is an adult workout, but infants and children are encouraged to participate and socialize! Please bring a yoga mat and wear sneakers. Classes will be held in the grass at Simsbury Meadows.Class Schedule: Mondays, 11 AM-12 PM4/21-5/19FAQIs it ok that I am not a dancer or an athlete?Absolutely. Barre is for everyone and no prior dance or workout experience is necessary. It is a time to meet new friends and move around.  What if I have to stop and feed, change, etc. my child?That is fine! We expect that! You jump back in when you are able. My child isn't an infant or toddler, can I still join?Yes. Older children are welcome to join. Even if you don't have children and want to join in for the outdoor workout, that is okay too! Dropping-in for a class? Join us for an outdoor parent and child barre class!Barre is a fun, low impact, muscle toning workout! Similar to pilates and yoga, Barre is a fast paced, full body exercise. All levels of experience are welcome.  This is an adult workout, but infants and children are encouraged to participate and socialize! Please bring a yoga mat and wear sneakers. Classes will be held in the grass at Simsbury Meadows.Class Schedule: Mondays, 11 AM-12 PM4/21-5/19FAQIs it ok that I am not a dancer or an athlete?Absolutely. Barre is for everyone and no prior dance or workout experience is necessary. It is a time to meet new friends and move around.  What if I have to stop and feed, change, etc. my child?That is fine! We expect that! You jump back in when you are able. My child isn't an infant or toddler, can I still join?Yes. Older children are welcome to join. Even if you don't have children and want to join in for the outdoor workout, that is okay too! Dropping-in for a class? Calling all Princesses, Pirates, Fairies, and Knights! This 30 minute class is a beginner class designed to introduce young dancers to ballet, dance technique, and creative movement in a fun and exciting way! Each week, class will be centered around fairytale themes and age appropriate props (wands, crowns, wings, and more) are used to keep young dancers excited and motivated! Filled with lots of fun, this class will instill a love for dance in any little one!  Dancers should being a water bottle and wear clothing they are comfortable moving in. April & May Session: 4/1-5/20Tuesdays, 5-5:30 PMClasses will be held at Eno Memorial Hall. Release your inner superstar! This jazz class will teach jazz technique and creative movement to everyone’s favorite radio hits! Dancers will be introduced to a variety of jazz styles as well as flexibility and coordination building skills.
