Our staff has been working diligently with local and state health officials to devise a plan that will allow us to safely open our aquatics facilities this summer for you, your family and our employees.  This comprehensive plan will include thorough and frequent cleanings of facilities, a plan ahead reservation process for public swim sessions and a reduction in the capacity of our facilities to ensure enough room for safe social distancing.CLICK HERE TO READ OUR FAQ SHEET REGARDING OUR 2020 OPENINGCLICK HERE FOR OUR SUMMER SWIM SESSION RESERVATION INFO SHEET  Season Passes – Season Passes to our facility are available only to Simsbury residents. While On The Pool Deck – We need every group to properly social distance themselves from other groups while on our pool deck. In an effort to assist with this, we will have markings on our deck area that should easily accommodate enough space for groups of 3, 4, & 5-6 people with room for others to get by safely. Adults are required to wear a mask or face covering from the parking area until settled on the pool deck.  A mask or face covering will not be required while sitting or while in the water or when moving in between pools. However it is required while moving about the deck, using the restrooms or concessions, and while exiting the facility.  Our new "Please Force" will be on the pool deck this summer offering gentle reminders about social distancing when necessary. Concessions – The snack concession will opener with pre-packaged snack items and drinks. The only payment accepted will be from credits that you may purchase through your online SimsburyRec.com account or your Simsbury Rec Snack Bucks account.  Our concession employee will use a bar code scanner to access your account credits or will look up your SimsburyRec.com account.  Social distancing will be required while in the concession line. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cash, credit or checks at the snack window.Swim Lessons – We will be able to offer a limited number of swim lessons at Simsbury Farms this summer. Unfortunately the number of participants per lesson has been limited and due to social distancing we are able to only offer lessons to those in levels 3-6 and diving lessons. Season pass holders will continue to receive a $10 per participant discount on each swim lesson.Cleaning And Sanitizing Our Facilities -  Our “Clean Team” will be working hard to disinfect common touch services such railings, door handles, restrooms, etc.  throughout the day.  We ask that you do your best to cover your coughs and sneezes and dispose of soiled tissues as quickly as possible.  Please be patient as you may have to wait for a restroom while our staff completes a frequent cleaning.Changing Rooms – Due to social distancing guidelines we will be closing our changing rooms for the summer at Simsbury Farms. We have 8 private restrooms, if needed, for changing purposes.  We highly recommend that you to come to the pool in your swimsuit.  We know these have been trying times for everyone and we appreciate your patience and support as we navigate this process together through the summer. 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM    Simsbury Trojans Volleyball Camp - Trojans Volleyball Camp
Simsbury Trojans Volleyball Camp is a camp designed to introduce the game of volleyball to young and new players (both boys and girls entering 5th-9th grade).  The camp is run by Varsity Coach Brian Leblanc who coaches both the boys and girls varsity team at Simsbury High School.  Coach Leblanc also is a physical education teacher at SHS and an Assistant Director for the Impulse Volleyball club.  Several players from the SHS volleyball team will assist with the camp to help teach the basics of the game. This camp is intended to help introduce the game of volleyball to young athletes and to help prepare them for future volleyball experiences.   No experience is needed to attend camp.  Players will learn basic concepts and skills including forearm passing, setting, hitting, serving, and defensive positioning.  Campers should come to camp with sneakers, a water bottle, and athletic clothing (knee pads are not required but some campers do wear them if they are worried about diving on the floor). Campers may earn small prizes throughout the week and be given a camp t-shirt at the end of the week! Please contact Coach Leblanc with any questions regarding camp! bleblanc@simsburyschools.net  Or 860-560-6280

Alumni Volleyball Prep Week   This clinic is intended for High School volleyball players to prepare for the upcoming fall volleyball season.  Camp is run by SHS alumni players who will prepare players with game like drills, volleyball specific fitness, and modified scrimmages to get players reps they need before the season. Sanitization and health screening procedures will be in place to ensure safety for staff and players.  Players should bring their own water, a snack, hand sanitizer, a face mask, and any volleyball specific gear that they may need.  Please email bleblanc@simsburyschools.net if you have any questions or concerns regarding camp.  Camp will run from 12:30-3:00 in the SHS gold gym.  Players must arrive wearing a mask and go through a health screening process in order to enter the building.  Equipment/ high touch surfaces will be sanitized throughout camp to ensure safety for our campers and staff.

Residents can choose to purchase a season pass for a family of four for $145 with option to add on additional family members, from the same household, for $25.  Residents can also purchase Individual Season Passes for $80  or Senior Season Passes for $40 as well.  If you had previously purchased a Season Pass and, after reviewing the new 2020 guidelines, feel that it is no longer a good option or value for your family, we will offer you a full refund if you notify us of your choice by phone or email by Friday, June 12, 2020. These afternoon public swim sessions will be three hours long with an hour between each session for our staff to do a thorough cleaning of the facility in between the groups.  Mon-Fri, 1-4pm & 5-8pm (starting Aug. 3 the late afternoon session will be held 4:30-7:30pm), Sat-Sun 11:30am-2:30pm & 3:30-6:30pm.   As our capacity is set at less than 50% of our typical max number of people on the pool deck, everyone is required to reserve your family members’ space in the public swim session using our online registration system at www.simsburyrec.com.  2020 Season Pass holders will be able to reserve their space in a public swim session beginning at 8am (EST) the day before the public session takes place.  Season Pass holders will have exclusive access for 24 hours to reserve their space (while available) and at 8am (EST) reservations will then open to Simsbury resident non-season pass holders for any remaining spots in the public swim sessions for that day.  The daily admission price for non-season pass holders (residents only) is $5 per person.  This fee will be collected during the online reservation process.IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU COMPLETE AND FINISH THE ENTIRE TRANSACTION PROCESS WHEN YOU RESERVE YOUR SPACE.  IF YOU DO NOT, YOUR SPOT WILL NOT BE RESERVED AND IF WE REACH OUR RESERVATION CAPACITY, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GAIN ACCESS.YOU WILL RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION. Refunds in the form of account credit will be given only if the pool does not open  for  the session.  Check-In at the Pool – When you arrive at the pool, you will follow social distancing markers while going from the sidewalk to the pool’s check-in window, adults and children over 14 years old must wear a mask during the check in process and while they are in other common areas of the facility (snack bar line, going to the restrooms). HIGH SCHOOL CREW CONDITIONING AND SCULLING CLINIC This program is held at the Simsbury Crew Boathouse off Drake Hill Road. Simsbury High School Crew Coach Ann Carabillo and staff will lead this intermediate level crew clinic for those entering grades 10-12 with previous rowing experience. The clinic will meet Monday through Thursday from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM or 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM. Cost of the High School Crew Condition/Sculling Clinic is $65 per session. Non residents may register after 7/1. Due to COVID-19 State guidelines and restrictions this is a dry land conditioning program, working on technique and conditioning for the athlete. 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM    Simsbury Trojans Volleyball Camp - Trojans Volleyball Camp
Simsbury Trojans Volleyball Camp is a camp designed to introduce the game of volleyball to young and new players (both boys and girls entering 5th-9th grade).  The camp is run by Varsity Coach Brian Leblanc who coaches both the boys and girls varsity team at Simsbury High School.  Coach Leblanc also is a physical education teacher at SHS and an Assistant Director for the Impulse Volleyball club.  Several players from the SHS volleyball team will assist with the camp to help teach the basics of the game. This camp is intended to help introduce the game of volleyball to young athletes and to help prepare them for future volleyball experiences.   No experience is needed to attend camp.  Players will learn basic concepts and skills including forearm passing, setting, hitting, serving, and defensive positioning.  Campers should come to camp with sneakers, a water bottle, and athletic clothing (knee pads are not required but some campers do wear them if they are worried about diving on the floor). Campers may earn small prizes throughout the week and be given a camp t-shirt at the end of the week! Please contact Coach Leblanc with any questions regarding camp! bleblanc@simsburyschools.net  Or 860-560-6280

HIGH SCHOOL CREW CONDITIONING AND SCULLING CLINIC This program is held at the Simsbury Crew Boathouse off Drake Hill Road. Simsbury High School Crew Coach Ann Carabillo and staff will lead this intermediate level crew clinic for those entering grades 10-12 with previous rowing experience. The clinic will meet Monday through Thursday from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM or 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM. Cost of the High School Crew Condition/Sculling Clinic is $65 per session. Non residents may register after 7/1. Due to COVID-19 State guidelines and restrictions this is a dry land conditioning program, working on technique and conditioning for the athlete. Simsbury Trojans Volleyball Camp is a camp designed to introduce the game of volleyball to young and new players (both boys and girls entering 5th-9th grade).  The camp is run by Varsity Coach Brian Leblanc who coaches both the boys and girls varsity team at Simsbury High School.  Coach Leblanc also is a physical education teacher at SHS and an Assistant Director for the Impulse Volleyball club.  Several players from the SHS volleyball team will assist with the camp to help teach the basics of the game. This camp is intended to help introduce the game of volleyball to young athletes and to help prepare them for future volleyball experiences.   No experience is needed to attend camp.  Players will learn basic concepts and skills including forearm passing, setting, hitting, serving, and defensive positioning.  Campers should come to camp with sneakers, a water bottle, and athletic clothing (knee pads are not required but some campers do wear them if they are worried about diving on the floor). Campers may earn small prizes throughout the week and be given a camp t-shirt at the end of the week! Please contact Coach Leblanc with any questions regarding camp! bleblanc@simsburyschools.net  Or 860-560-6280

12:30 PM - 3:00 PM    Alumni Volleyball Prep Week - Alumni Volleyball Prep Week
Alumni Volleyball Prep Week   This clinic is intended for High School volleyball players to prepare for the upcoming fall volleyball season.  Camp is run by SHS alumni players who will prepare players with game like drills, volleyball specific fitness, and modified scrimmages to get players reps they need before the season. Sanitization and health screening procedures will be in place to ensure safety for staff and players.  Players should bring their own water, a snack, hand sanitizer, a face mask, and any volleyball specific gear that they may need.  Please email bleblanc@simsburyschools.net if you have any questions or concerns regarding camp.  Camp will run from 12:30-3:00 in the SHS gold gym.  Players must arrive wearing a mask and go through a health screening process in order to enter the building.  Equipment/ high touch surfaces will be sanitized throughout camp to ensure safety for our campers and staff.

Simsbury High School Crew Coach Ann Carabillo and staff will lead this intermediate level crew clinic for those entering grades 10-12 with previous rowing experience. The clinic will meet Monday through Thursday from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM or 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM. Cost of the High School Crew Condition/Sculling Clinic is $65 per session. Non residents may register after 7/1. Due to COVID-19 State guidelines and restrictions this is a dry land conditioning program, working on technique and conditioning for the athlete. Simsbury Trojans Volleyball Camp is a camp designed to introduce the game of volleyball to young and new players (both boys and girls entering 5th-9th grade).  The camp is run by Varsity Coach Brian Leblanc who coaches both the boys and girls varsity team at Simsbury High School.  Coach Leblanc also is a physical education teacher at SHS and an Assistant Director for the Impulse Volleyball club.  Several players from the SHS volleyball team will assist with the camp to help teach the basics of the game. This camp is intended to help introduce the game of volleyball to young athletes and to help prepare them for future volleyball experiences.   No experience is needed to attend camp.  Players will learn basic concepts and skills including forearm passing, setting, hitting, serving, and defensive positioning.  Campers should come to camp with sneakers, a water bottle, and athletic clothing (knee pads are not required but some campers do wear them if they are worried about diving on the floor). Campers may earn small prizes throughout the week and be given a camp t-shirt at the end of the week! Please contact Coach Leblanc with any questions regarding camp! bleblanc@simsburyschools.net  Or 860-560-6280

Alumni Volleyball Prep Week   This clinic is intended for High School volleyball players to prepare for the upcoming fall volleyball season.  Camp is run by SHS alumni players who will prepare players with game like drills, volleyball specific fitness, and modified scrimmages to get players reps they need before the season. Sanitization and health screening procedures will be in place to ensure safety for staff and players.  Players should bring their own water, a snack, hand sanitizer, a face mask, and any volleyball specific gear that they may need.  Please email bleblanc@simsburyschools.net if you have any questions or concerns regarding camp.  Camp will run from 12:30-3:00 in the SHS gold gym.  Players must arrive wearing a mask and go through a health screening process in order to enter the building.  Equipment/ high touch surfaces will be sanitized throughout camp to ensure safety for our campers and staff.

While On The Pool Deck – We need every group to properly social distance themselves from other groups while on our pool deck. In an effort to assist with this, we will have markings on our deck area that should easily accommodate enough space for groups of 3, 4, & 5-6 people with room for others to get by safely. Adults are required to wear a mask or face covering from the parking area until settled on the pool deck.  A mask or face covering will not be required while sitting or while in the water or when moving in between pools. However it is required while moving about the deck, using the restrooms or concessions, and while exiting the facility.  Our new "Please Force" will be on the pool deck this summer offering gentle reminders about social distancing when necessary. Concessions – The snack concession will opener with pre-packaged snack items and drinks. The only payment accepted will be from credits that you may purchase through your online SimsburyRec.com account or your Simsbury Rec Snack Bucks account.  Our concession employee will use a bar code scanner to access your account credits or will look up your SimsburyRec.com account.  Social distancing will be required while in the concession line. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cash, credit or checks at the snack window.Swim Lessons – We will be able to offer a limited number of swim lessons at Simsbury Farms this summer. Unfortunately the number of participants per lesson has been limited and due to social distancing we are able to only offer lessons to those in levels 3-6 and diving lessons. Season pass holders will continue to receive a $10 per participant discount on each swim lesson.Cleaning And Sanitizing Our Facilities -  Our “Clean Team” will be working hard to disinfect common touch services such railings, door handles, restrooms, etc.  throughout the day.  We ask that you do your best to cover your coughs and sneezes and dispose of soiled tissues as quickly as possible.  Please be patient as you may have to wait for a restroom while our staff completes a frequent cleaning.Changing Rooms – Due to social distancing guidelines we will be closing our changing rooms for the summer at Simsbury Farms. We have 8 private restrooms, if needed, for changing purposes.  We highly recommend that you to come to the pool in your swimsuit.  We know these have been trying times for everyone and we appreciate your patience and support as we navigate this process together through the summer.
